from the river to the sea

Palestine will be free. We must keep saying this, no matter how hard others work to close our mouths.

If a door closes to say it: find keys to open another one. Just keep going. Use what you have. Everything you have, and push on.

If someone tells you that your solidarity is co-opting suffering - tell them to fuck off. And keep going. Because Palestinian people know and tell us clearly that silence is the key weapon of the Zionist. So refuse to be silent.

If someone finds a way to seed discontent: ignore this, and keep going, keep speaking about Palestine. Keep writing letters, talking to your friends, neighbours.

If you are called anti-Semitic: ignore this. Know in your bones that opposition of violent Nationalism is pro-Jewish. Some of the most intense Zios do not believe that Jewish people belong outside of Israel; and oppose their right to live in other places. They are also racist af. They love to work they way in to left learning orgs, and cause havoc once in there.

They are clever, but not that clever.

Know, when these accusations come, that many, many Jewish people are speaking up against the occupation of Palestine, against genocide, and against the killing of over 30,000 people in less than six months. Mostly, women and kids. Babies. Buried under rubble.

Ten children a day lose their limbs in Gaza. The numbers speak for themselves. There is nothing complicated about that.

Saying that it’s horrendous to do that to kids is not anti-Semitic.

It’s pro not being a complete fuckhead.

From Middle East Eye - How Israel's propaganda war has silenced Europe’

Still true. So much worse since 2020, of course.

“It remains difficult to criticise Israel, the occupation, accompanying war crimes, breaches of international law, or Israel’s treatment of Palestinians; it is all branded as antisemitism and quickly disappears from the agenda. Alongside this campaign of branding, most Western nations, including the US, have passed sweeping legislation that aims to declare war on the completely legitimate boycott, divestment and sanctions (BDS) movement, in an attempt to criminalise its activities and its activists.

How incredible that this struggle against an occupation and its legal infrastructure is undergoing sustained delegitimisation and criminalisation. Imagine any other committed struggle - say, against the sweatshops of Southeast Asia, industrial meat production or mass concentration camps in China - being labelled as criminal in the West. It’s hard to imagine.

And yet, the struggle against Israeli apartheid - and there is no more clearly moral struggle today - is deemed criminal. Coronavirus aside, try to book any large venue today anywhere in Europe for a gathering in solidarity with Palestinians. Try publishing an article against the Israeli occupation in mainstream news outlets. Israel’s hyper-vigilant propaganda machine will find you quickly, accuse you of antisemitism and silence you.”

Yep. But do not stop. Refuse to be silent.

From the river to the sea: Palestine will be free. x
